TheEN, a startup incubated by the Chungnam National University Startup Support Center, has been selected for the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups' private investment-led technology entrepreneurship support program, "Deep-tech TIPS."
According to Chungnam National University on the 14th, the Ministry recently announced the results of the "Deep-tech TIPS" program selection. TheEN (CEO: Professor sung-Tak Kim) will receive up to 1.7 billion KRW in funding to support its business.
TheEN, founded in 2022 by Professor sung-Tak Kim from the Department of Applied Chemical Engineering at Chungnam National University, focuses on developing and providing technology services related to water electrolysis for carbon-neutral hydrogen production.
With this selection, TheEN will focus on safely producing and expanding the distribution of hydrogen energy, with plans to develop large-area, load-variable-response electrolysis electrodes based on a dual-layer structure by 2027.
CEO sung-Tak Kim stated, "Through being selected for the Deep-tech TIPS program, we will accelerate the realization of carbon neutrality using green hydrogen. We aim to provide a solution to remove explosion risks for hydrogen production workers, while alleviating concerns about hydrogen energy and advancing the value of an eco-friendly society."
